Pay Range: $25 – $30 per hour
About the Role
Dabri, Inc. is seeking a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) to provide plan review and technical support for municipal and development projects. This position will support entitlement, building permit, and public works plan review tasks in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations. Ideal for candidates with CASp certification looking for flexible, part-time/on-call consulting work.
Key Responsibilities
Perform plan check and technical review of construction documents for compliance with:
Accessibility standards (CBC, ADA)
Fire and life safety requirements
Building permit and entitlement requirements
Public Works and engineering standards
Stormwater/NPDES standards
Small wireless facility permitting (minor/major CUP modifications)
Review pre-application, entitlement, and construction submittals.
Prepare clear, detailed review comments using digital markup tools (Bluebeam/Adobe).
Coordinate with project managers, City staff, applicants, and consultants to resolve plan comments.
Verify compliance prior to permit issuance and assist with resubmittal tracking.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold City and agency standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Access Specialist (CASp) – Required
Working knowledge of:
California Building Code (CBC)
Fire and Life Safety Codes
Local planning and engineering standards
ADA and accessibility regulations
Stormwater/NPDES requirements
Experience reviewing plans for public works, commercial, residential, or development projects.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple plan reviews with quick turnaround times.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing plan review services for a City or public agency.
Familiarity with small wireless facilities permitting.
Background in engineering, architecture, inspection, or related field.
